“Hundreds of sporting youngsters from 35 countries and 53
international cities will create a carnival atmosphere in Coventry
when they compete in the 39th International Children’s
Games.
For 18 months Coventry’s International Children’s Games
Organising Committee has played a pivotal role in working with some
of the biggest companies and institutions in the city and beyond to
be part of an event that celebrates all that’s best in
sport.
On behalf of Coventry City Council I’d like to pass on my
thanks to the University of Warwick, Coventry University, CVOne,
Sport England and Montgomery Leisure Services and to the business
and voluntary sectors for their tremendous support.
The Games will be a great occasion for all of us. Children with
sporting ambitions will take centre stage and Coventry is proud to
welcome our international guests.”
