Children's brain tumours are the subject
of pioneering new diagnosis and treatment from research scientists
and clinicians at the UK's University of Birmingham.
Working with the city's Children's Hospital, they're using
cutting edge science in magnetic spectroscopy to analyse tissue
samples from children's tumours, significantly improving our
ability to diagnose and treat these cancers.
The University's new Henry Wellcome Building for Biomolecular
Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy is home to the UK's first 900 MHz
Magnetic Spectrometer – one of only seven in the world, it
will be a major resource for European researchers into the root
causes of cancer and other diseases.
