Job Satisfaction depends on happinessIn a modern, consumer society, can money buy happiness?

How important is happiness and what impact does it have on economic policy?

Recent research by economists at the UK's University of Warwick into the interplay of money and happiness shows that, when it comes to happiness at work, 'rank' is the most important factor - where you are in the hierarchy rather than how much you earn.

In a conference, held in Washington DC at the Brookings Institution, economic experts from around the world met to compare research and offer insights into the importance of happiness in the workplace.
