Archbishop TutuJust as newspaper headlines announce a 20% increase in UK HIV infections, a new facility in the battle against infectious disease is being opened at one of the country's premier research Universities.

A £7 million pound refurbishment of the Infection and Immunity Laboratories, at King's College London?s Guy's Campus, will provide cutting edge, new laboratories for one of the UK's leading centres researching infectious diseases, such as HIV and Aids, throughout the World.

The new facility was opened on Tuesday 17th February, by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, an alumnus of King's College and an astute commentator on the HIV and Aids crisis devastating his home continent of Africa.
