 Synopsis

E-Science - The Future of ResearchResearchers from the Computer Science department at England's University of Nottingham are involved in an exciting project to widen the parameters of scientific research. E-Science is taking research out of the laboratory and creating new opportunities to share data via the internet, giving scientists access to research data from even the remotest of sites.

E-science is also helping the general public get involved in science, developing a better understanding of the need for research and bringing the new digital technologies into the public domain.

E-Science could well change the ways in which we communicate, interact, work and play. This is the future – now!
