 Climate change, global
warming, the rising cost of oil and the diminishing resource of
fossil fuels – all reasons why research is increasingly
turning to renewable resources to provide energy solutions for the
future.
One such renewable resource is wave power;
harnessing the ebb and flow of the oceans to power our cities. It's
clean and the source itself is free – and unlikely to run
out!
Two new approaches to extracting energy from
the seas come from University researchers in the South West of
England – home to one of the world's most dramatic
coastlines.
